Automotive Cybersecurity
Certification: Level One
Automobile manufacturers and suppliers are confronted with new requirements that address the cybersecurity of vehicle IT/OT. This certification, created in partnership between SAE International and TÜV SÜD, provides the necessary basic knowledge for people who work in the field of automotive cybersecurity, management, engineering, and auditing.

“This [cybersecurity] is now everyone’s problem. We have to be aware about it and be aware of our role in the solutions and our role in causing problems. It now is becoming more encompassing that we now have to look at these cybersecurity, cyber-communications, interoperability – all those issues are now something that is now cross-discipline. We need to have more of a cross-discipline culture in both university as well as in industry because we can’t do well with it stove-piped. In fact, stove-piping is one of the root causes of failures in some of the security issues.”
